On a Saturday afternoon, we finally made it to the Pig and the Pearl, the (kind of new) barbecue and oyster bar in Atlantic Station, from the team behind the Shed at Glenwood. We arrived late afternoon and took a table in the middle of the restaurant.
While we waited, I sample the three varieties of barbecue sauce, all of which were different versions of “hot”.
I ordered the pork belly and fries and my lovely wife ordered the brisket and the mushrooms. They have a unit attached to their smokers which takes the smoke from the barbecue process and infuses other dishes – the deviled eggs, the mac-n-cheese and the mushrooms among them.
As I didn’t get around to posting this timely and I can’t remember all the details of the meal, I’m now posting this restaurant as a photo blog.
