Open 16 months, and named after her daughter’s grandmother, Mu’s Chicken is a spot that has eluded me for the last two months.

I walked in the door and asked “this isn’t Nashville hot chicken, is it?”

“yes, it is.”

“Hot damn.”

You’ll wait 15 minutes for your chicken, which they cook fresh to order.  I went with a breast quarter combo.  I asked about the heat levels.  “If you’re used to Nashville hot chicken, my mild isn’t hot enough.”  Settled.

Taking a page from the Prince’s playbook, they’re located in a strip mall, on Austell Road, on the southwest side of the intersection with the East-West Connector.

This was good hot chicken.
