I’ve had Fred’s Texas Cafe on my list for a long time, with the sentence, in the description, that said “is the kind of place you take that new boyfriend or girlfriend to see if they can deal with it. If they can, they’re a keeper. It’s a complete dive, but the burgers are wonderful”.

It doesn’t feel that you’re in downtown Fort Worth – it feels much more like Austin looks. 

As I didn’t get around to posting this timely and I can’t remember all the details of the meal, I’m now posting this restaurant as a photo blog.
