Ball Ground Burger Bus – Ball Ground, GA

Today’s dining adventure comes courtesy of an “only in your state” blog post shared by my wife, about interesting restaurants.  So when we headed out for the day’s adventure in north Georgia, I determined that we would dine at the Ball Ground Burger Bus.  We rolled into downtown Ball Ground (almost rolled through – one street, no stop light or sign) and found a place to park.

We walked down to the bus, which is parked near the train tracks.  “Bus” is a misnomer, as it is actually a converted City of Atlanta trolley from the 50s.   The views below are to the left and right, as you look into the trolley.

They’ve built a building “around” the bus with a waiting area in back and a kitchen, deck and carry-out / payment counter to the side.  We walked in the back and waited a bit without moving much, so I walked up to scout out the situation. There were actually two lines, one for dining in and one for take out.  The one that wasn’t moving was dining in and we had seen picnic tables in the shade outside.  We shifted lines and in ten minutes we had placed our order and were waiting for the burgers to cook.
