Speaking specifically of me, Descartes would say that I think, therefore I blog. I’d say it is more like, I like to eat out and I like to tell people about it, therefore I blog.
My original blog was founded in my desire to find the best burger that I could. I travel a good bit for business and when I discovered the book Hamburger America, referenced in a restaurant we stopped in on vacation – Mr. Bartley’s Burger Cottage, it was as if I had found my “Bible”. And people would ask me for places to eat and I’d try to describe the places that I’d been. Blogging made sense. So I started with a burger blog and added another for everything else, with a strong focus on barbecue. I moved the blog to WordPress and combined both into what is before.
I live on the west side of Atlanta with my loving, patient and indulging-of-my-food obsession wife, Jo. Since the kids went to college, we found that we eat out much more often since it is just the two of us.
